Nightcap Ridge sits within the spectacular landscape of Nightcap National Park, part of the World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. Ancient subtropical rainforest, dramatic waterfalls and lush valleys define this remarkable corner of the Northern Rivers hinterland near Byron Bay. From the property, guests are perfectly placed to explore nearby walking trails, scenic lookouts and iconic waterfalls including the breathtaking Minyon Falls, one of the region’s most visited natural wonders.

WILDLIFE & BIRDLIFE

The rainforest surrounding Nightcap Ridge is home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Guests often spot wallabies, echidnas, bandicoots, goannas and koalas, along with an incredible variety of birdlife. Parrots, rosellas, kookaburras, cockatoos, kingfishers and bowerbirds are regularly seen around the property, while the dazzling Wompoo Fruit Dove has become something of a local mascot. With so much untouched forest surrounding the property, the sounds and sightings of wildlife are part of everyday life at Nightcap Ridge.
